CPA Canada’s 2022 The ONE National Conference

Drawing on over two decades of accounting experience, Andrew Sommerhalder is currently a financial manager of Toronto, Canada-based Arrowsmith Program, a program applying neuroscientific research to strengthen the learning capacity of people with learning disabilities. Andrew Sommerhalder is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of several professional organizations, including Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada).

Committed to supporting the advancement of the accounting profession and its practitioners, CPA Canada offers various educational, networking, and career advancement opportunities. In addition, it organizes numerous events, including The ONE National Conference.

Established in 2013, The ONE National Conference seeks to unite and inspire accountants, presenting them with a robust program encompassing the latest trends in the industry to help them refine their skills, build new ones, and keep pace with the continuously changing accounting environment. The 2022 edition of the conference, Operate with Purpose, will cover developments and areas of expertise, such as the impact of the global pandemic recovery and other driving factors in accounting.

In addition, the conference will explore the human aspect of business as a propeller of long-term success. Scheduled for mid-September, the conference will, for the first time, take place both virtually and onsite in Vancouver, British Columbia. Prospective attendees may choose from five different packages and can complement their conference package with various on-demand learning bundles and workshops. Among the announced keynote speakers are Masai Ujiri, vice-chairman and president of the Toronto Raptors basketball team and founder of Giants of Africa, a nonprofit that organizes basketball camps to help and support African youth from underprivileged backgrounds.
